Oh. Right. National Blog Posting Month. I was supposed to post everyday. Well, when the blog Gods named November the month they must have forgotten about Thanksgiving. You know. The weekend where you go into caloric and family overload, become sleep deprived from Black Friday, and spend the night at your grandparents where a WiFi signal is about a strong as your dessert-resisting willpower.
So I fell off the wagon. Sorry. When I wasn’t working over the holiday I was having a really great time. I figure fun is a good reason not to post.
I want to take a little flashback. Thanksgiving 2010…
Thanksgiving 2011….
I can’t stop looking at these two pictures and comparing them with all their similarities and differences. Sometimes I think here’s no way this is the same person. I look at the first picture and I can smell and feel my sweet little newborn. I can still hear all her little coos and grunts. I look at the second picture and I can smell and feel my funny, squirmy little one year old. I can hear all her squeals and giggles.
Then I realize it has to be the same person, because I feel the exact same way when I look both pictures. That’s my baby. And I’m so thankful for her.
Happy (belated) Thanksgiving readers!

I don’t care that much about turkey or pumpkin pie. I’m not searching for any great Black Friday deals. I only have one wish this holiday.
All I want for Thanksgiving is 8 uninterrupted, peaceful hours of sleep.
Charlotte is in bed. I have to work tomorrow and Friday earlier than the law should allow, so this will have to suffice for my contribution to National Blog Posting Month.
I’m very thankful for your understanding.

This is Ginger’s nightly routine. I appreciate the help in cleaning under the highchair. She even licks the seat clean. Now to get her to pick up toys and change diapers….hmmm….

These are Charlotte’s 12 month pictures by Three Oaks Photography. The photographer, Jack, does this package for Baby’s 1st Year with Newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 12 month pics.
He did our maternity shoot as well. I didn’t make it some months so our 1st year pics ended up newborn (by a different photographer, the wonderful Kimber Lynn) about 4 months, about 8 months and now these 12 months all by Jack.
I’m pretty psyched with how they turned out. We lost the coats pretty quick because it got warm. I didn’t mean for Charlotte and I to be super matchy-matchy in our chocolate dresses, but I think it works. Who knows, they may end up on the Christmas card so I should go ahead and say “Happy Holidays!” Seriously, I could have posted all the proofs. I loved how these turned out. Be honest and tell me which ones you like best.

It’s been awhile since I lost myself in the novels chronicling the supernatural love triangle that made Forks, Washington famous. I must say, I read the awesome books BEFORE the mediocre movies came out. Last night I got to revisit the Cullens with some of my BFF’s. Sara, Colleen and I went to see Breaking Dawn part 1. I really wanted to see hot vampire sex the film adaptation.
I read about Bella’s pregnancy and childbirth before I ever got pregnant. After seeing it on the big screen, I gotta say, “Congratulations Bella! You win the award for most gruesome birth ever. I’m quite sure no other woman’s baby sucked the life out of her like your little demon did. Drinking blood during your pregnancy makes my apple cider vinegar seem pretty tame. I’m also certain no other woman’s husband injected his deadly venom into her heart in the delivery room. Enjoy motherhood. Even with all those Italian vampires trying to kill you, it’s gotta be better than your gestation.”
