"C" is for cookie- June 10, 2010

So I have to go to bed soon because I’m working early tomorrow.  I call Greyson on the way home from work and ask him to pick up dinner.  We decide on Panera Bread and I tell him what I want.  I said, “Oh yeah, I want a cookie too.”  I get home, and take a shower getting pumped for my cookie.

Yeah, one of these babies.
He gets home.  I get out of the shower and pull out my salad with grilled chicken and soup.  I looked in the bag again.  No cookie.
Me: “Grey, did you get my cookie.”
Him: “Oh no! Baby I forgot to order it.”
Me: “Oh, that’s okay.”
Him: “Do you want me to go back and get one?”
Me: “No, that’s okay.”
Him:  “I feel bad.  But, I mean, it’s just a cookie.”
Me:  “Okay, but in the Third Trimester you have to go back.”
We both laugh and eat while watching Top Chef Masters on the DVR.
My brain in the last 10 minutes…..
No dessert in the house will suffice.  I cannot stop thinking of the goodness that are these cookies.  I want cookies and milk.  Oh Amy, pull it together, it’s just a cookie!  These pregnancy cravings aren’t real.  No, I’m gonna lick the screen where I just posted a picture of that cookie.
Greyson is at the store now making a cookie run.  I hope he gets some beer for himself.  If “C” is for cookie than “A” is for awesome husband.

I can't vouch for the authenticity of "pregnancy cravings" as I've never had them with either pregnancy. But cookie cravings are very real. I have them often, regardless of pregnancy :) Enjoy the cookies!
