Goonie baby- May 15, 2011

I came home the other day and told Greyson of an acquaintace and her son that I had run into. I said, “I saw ‘Sally’ with little ‘Joey’ today. He has grown! He was smiling at me.” I looked at him and expected a response like, “Oh, cool.”, or “How are they?”, or something like that. But, this is my husband.

He said, “That baby looks like Sloth.”

::pause::

Oh, wow. Yeah. He does.

::giggle::

Now, let me be clear. This child does not have any deformities or weird teeth, he just has kind of a long, “Slothy” shaped head. I know every parent thinks their baby is beautiful, but if we’re being honest there are things we notice, like cone shaped heads for example. I think Charlotte is the most beautiful child in the world. However, she does have funky bald spots in the back of her head and some weird sticky-outy hair strands.

I’m ~~really hoping~~ pretty sure said acquaintance has no idea I have a blog. I’m hoping I can keep a straight face the next time I run into them because I know I’ll be picturing my husband stumbling around the kitchen saying, “Baby Ruth!?”
