I’ve chronicled this whole pregnancy-first year of life thing with a series of professional pictures.  I didn’t think we needed quite as many as the first year, so 18-months is a great milestone.

The FABULOUS Cat Wilborne took these pics.  Check out her site.  She takes amazing natural light photos.  God bless this woman for having the patience to photograph a 1 1/2 year-old.  Charlotte would smile like a beautiful angel for half-a-second before screaming bloody murder in a toddler rampage.  We were exhausted after this hour session, but she got some great shots of our girl.

May I present…Miss Charlotte Eva at 18 months old…

Oh, that’s right.  I have a blog.  My bad.  We’ve been busy.  We’re in Washington D.C. for my sister and brother-in-law’s graduation with their Masters’ Degrees.  We are having an awesome time an I swear I’ll share all our shenanigans when we get home.

In the meantime, take a cue from Charlotte and take time to enjoy your socks, or Daddy’s socks.  Whatever.

Easter is a special time for us because Greyson and I got engaged on Easter Sunday.  I know, I know.  It should be special because we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, but whatever.  We visited my grandparents in Wilmington, NC.

Charlotte killed it in her first Easter egg hunt.  She was into it!

I actually got a picture of all three Great-Grandchildren looking up at once.  This my cousin Scott’s daughter Lana to the left (2.5 years old ) and my Cousin Meagan’s daughter Emma (2.5 months old), and Charlotte (17 months).  All girls in this generation so far!

Someone please tell Greyson I did not go overboard with the Easter basket.  This is perfect!  She loved it!

This is the series of photos I attempted to take with my daughter on Easter morning all dressed up in my grandparents beautiful gazebo.  Yeah.  That didn’t happen.

When I wasn’t planning a beautiful picture, it just happened.  My grandma snapped this when I didn’t even know it.  I got my pretty Easter shot with my girl.

Today we took Charlotte to a park in Raleigh called Pullen Park.  Anyone from this area has tons of fond childhood memories of this special place.  She “petted her pony” on the carousel and squealed at the ducks waddling near the train tracks.  My heart was complete.

Toddler curls.  I love them.  I twirl them in my fingers and bury my face in them before stealing kisses from the soft cheeks they brush against.

Oh, and I take lots and lots of pictures of them.  I don’t think she understands my fascination, but I want to remember them forever.  I want to savor them before they go away.
