Fecal Footsies- October 13, 2011
Yeah, this post is called “Fecal Footsies.” If you’re squeamish, move on. Check today’s headlines on The Onion or something.
Yesterday more than any time I can remember, I missed the innocent, non-offensive breast milk poops of newborns. It’s getting harder and harder to change Charlotte’s diaper. She’s strong and never. stops. moving. Ever. Sometimes it’s a two man job. Especially if it’s a number two.
Greyson wasn’t home for the dookie doozie I was faced with. I had Charlotte’s legs way up as I cleaned up her little hiney. I’ve become an expert at the “quick swap” of dirty for clean diaper. But, this happened so fast! She broke one of her legs loose from my grasp.
::splat::
Her foot smooshed right into the poop.
I grabbed her ankle so it wouldn’t touch the wall and said, “Eww! Charlotte!” She looked at me and gave me her big jack-o-lantern grin and laughed like, “Ha, ha Mama! My foot got in my poopie!” Her giggles continued as I sanitized the soiled sole.
Later on we were walking outside in the stroller. It was warm so I let her feet go bare. We ran into Trish. She leaned down and grabbed Charlotte’s foot and kissed it. She said, “I’m gonna eat that foot! Yum yum!”
I said, “Um, yeah, you might wanna take a raincheck on that foot noshing.”

| So unassuming. Ha! |

at least she didn't kick the poopy diaper on the floor! and I hate to tell you, but the diaper-changing battle never stops. (until they stop wearing diapers) Justin is 15m and every diaper change is a wrestling match. and with him being 30+ pounds now, it's an adventure. travis got a little more cooperative towards the end of his diaper days but getting him to lay still was nearly impossible.
Ha ha! Yes, I remember this happening. So gross.
At church one day, I was changing my son on the floor. I put my leg over his torso like I always had to do to keep him from squirming away. I remember someone coming by and saying, "Are you holding him down?!" Um, yes. Yes I was.
Ha! I love to use an alligator-death-spiral maneuver when Mommy is trying to change my diaper!
LOL! Thank you for my Friday laugh. I know it wasn't funny at the time, but sure is amusing to read about.
babies can get away with anything. they are so yummy people still want their poop foot. oh well, it's a very cute foot.
