Outing the closets- May 17, 2010
So I was talking to Greyson the other day about the room that will eventually be the baby’s. Since we moved in the house it has been the office where he studied for grad school and then just where we keep the computer and various sports memorabilia.
Me: “We need to get that closet completely cleaned out and sell some of that stuff in the yard sale.” (First weekend in June.) Greyson: “The whole closet? The baby doesn’t need the whole closet.” Me: “Umm…yes it does.” Greyson: “But, Amy, I mean, it’s clothes are really small.”
Ha! What?! Did he seriously just say “it’s clothes are really small”?
Me: “Grey, do you realize how much shit babies come with? And, I don’t mean just in their diapers.” Greyson: “What kind of shit?” Me: “Well in it’s closet we’ll keep some of its toys, swing, bouncy thing, Moses basket, stuff like that.” Greyson: “What swing?”
I didn’t even get into the Boppi and the My Breast Friend. That might me too much for a soon-to-be-Dad. He cleaned out some stuff this weekend. But this is where we’re at…..
